On December 3, 2019, ABC volunteers got together at U.C. Hastings College of the Law to assemble and distribute holiday care packages for the homeless in the Tenderloin region of San Francisco. We put together approximately 360 bags, each containing a poncho, hat, gloves, scarf, fleece blanket, body lotion, chapstick, hand sanitizer, socks, toothbrush, toothpaste, tissues, snacks, holiday candy and a holiday card. Our volunteers then personally delivered the care packages to the homeless on the street as well as to local shelters that we coordinated with in advance. We were also able to purchase and distribute 360 sleeping bags along with our care packages. Our volunteers enjoyed mulled wine, pizza, holiday cookies, and a general feeling of awesomeness as we worked to assemble the care packages.
