Holiday Care Packages for the Homeless - Join Us for our 13th year on November 15, 2023 at 5:30

We are looking forward to our 13th year of putting together and distributing 300 plus holiday care packages and sleeping bags to the homeless in the Tenderloin region of SF. Our event will be taking place this year on November 15th at 5:30pm at UC Law (formerly UC Hastings) located at 200 McAllister Street in San Francisco. Our volunteers will get together from approximately 5:30-8:30 pm to assemble and distribute the care packages, which include necessary items such as toothbrushes and toothpaste, gloves, hats, lotion, ponchos, etc. This year we will also be distributing 300 sleeping bags. We provide pizza, snacks, drinks, and holiday cheer to all of our volunteers in attendance. It's a lot of fun and an incredibly rewarding experience, so I encourage you to attend if you can. You do NOT need to be an attorney to attend (we just do the planning in advance of the event and raise the necessary funds) so feel free to bring kids, other family members, and friends. Please RSVP to info@abcoutreach.org so we have a general idea of how many people to expect and can order enough food and drinks.

Please also consider making a donation - just click on the donate now button at the top of our home page:

https://www.abcoutreach.org/home If you prefer to write a check you can mail it to our NEW address: Attorneys Backing the Community, c/o Bain Mazza & Debski LLP, 570 El Camino Real #150-108, Redwood City, CA 94063. All donations are tax deductible as we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Don't forget to check with your employer and see if they will match your donation! The need for homeless assistance in the tenderloin is greater than ever this year. Every dollar counts - even a small donation can go a long way as we order in bulk and have no administrative costs, so 100% of your donation goes directly to those in need.

Please note that we will be meeting in room 122 in the 200 McAllister Building to put together the Holiday Care Packages. We have also opted to do the event earlier in the holiday season, as December seems to get busier every year and we are hoping that this way more volunteers will be able to join us.

We look forward to seeing you there!
